In line with the development goals of our university and the College of Human and Social Innovation, as well as the national trends in early childhood care and education (ECCE) professional development and the department’s own conditions, the educational objectives of our program focus primarily on the cultivation of preschool educators and caregivers. This is supplemented by the training of professionals in infant and toddler care and in supporting children with special needs, thereby broadening students’ future career opportunities. At the same time, our department is committed to nurturing early childhood professionals with compassion and a strong sense of service, in response to the university’s educational philosophy of “people-oriented values and care for life.”

Thus, the department has established three primary educational objectives, which are as follows:

  1. To cultivate preschool educators and caregivers with solid professional competencies.
  2. To enhance students’ practical knowledge and skills in early childhood care and education, thereby strengthening their employability and competitiveness in the job market.
  3. To foster in students a caring spirit and a strong sense of service in the field of early childhood care and education.
