The Department of Child Care and Education was established in 1993, making it one of the earliest specialized programs in Taiwan. The goal of the department revolves around the training of preschool educators with a focus on the education and care of infants, toddlers, and children with special needs. To equip our students with practical experience in child care, the university has established three non-profit kindergartens both on and off campus. In addition, the university helps manage the Home-based Childcare Service Center of the Fourth District of Taichung City, Shalu Parent-Child Center, Dajia Parent-Child Center, and Shalu Infant Daycare Center. These organizations serve as practical training and experiential learning sites for our students and also offer employment opportunities for our graduates. Over the past three years, our graduate employment rate has reached 95%, indicating a favorable employment situation for our department’s graduates. If you are interested in the field of child care and education, our department is the best choice for you.
